Whole-Scale Evaluations (continued)

Process Evaluation involves evaluating the systems which implement and release products and programs. These evaluations are usually internal examinations of the effectiveness of communication patterns and accounting systems that keep track of how materials will be organized or how programs will be released.

Product Evaluation begins with a formative approach. This involves a needs assessment to determine what products to market and piloting products in alpha and beta testing. Later, a summative evaluation approach is used to design market survey research and other forms of impact analysis to determine if the products are meeting their goals.
